Directions to Union Church Please follow parking directions below and do NOT pull into the driveway in front of the church:
From Patricia's: go east on Fostertown Rd, cross 9W and bear right at Balmville tree onto Balmville Road. From 9W at Fostertown Rd it is 0.7 miles to Union Church on left (across from a golf course). Turn left on Beech Street right along side church and a quick left through stone pillars into the PARKING LOT
From the Newburgh/Beacon Bridge: go south on 9W to first quick traffic light and turn left. If you miss this, you can go to secong light and turn left. The road name changes every block or so(!)... so turning at the light will help. The first left turn is marked PlanK Rd/ North Plank Rd and North Street all within two or three blocks. However, it is only .4 miles from 9W to Balmville Rd. which will be on your left and has a light. Left on Balmville Rd.
(if you go past the VN memorial you missed Balmville Rd) to Union Church on right (see golf course on left). Just before church turn right on Beech St and follow directions above into the PARKING LOT.
From Cornwall: 9W to cut-off to Marine Drive/Water Street by the river. Travel along river enjoying the view. After the river viewing pass the Vietnam Memorial and see traffic light which will be Balmville Rd. Turn right on Balmville Rd, seeing shortly the golf course on left and the church on right. Turn
right on Beech Street just before church and follow directions above into the PARKING LOT.
Directions to Patricia ("The Farm")
From Poughkeepsie/Kingston Bridge: Take 9W south through Middlehope (about a 20 minute drive or a little longer in traffic), past Overlook Market on left and an old (non working) drive-in on left to Fostertown Road on right . Turn right at the traffic light. It will be the first light after the light at Carter Ave.
(Also for a marker at light there is a school on left)
After turning right onto Fostertown Rd (also marked County 86) go 1.8 miles. After a big grey horse barn (on left) turn on WELLS Rd on left and make a quick right into the drive-way (a matter of a few yards to the drive)
ACROSS from the driveway is a mailbox for 121 Wells Ave. ..Pull up so other cars can get in.
From the Newburgh/Beacon Bridge: take 9W north 1.1 miles to Fostertown Rd and turn left at traffic-light (see school on right ), then follow directions above.

Directions to Sandy’s Office - From 9W, take the Quaker Ave. Exit. Both north and southbound ramps split; bear right and turn right at the end of either ramp. You will be turning right onto Quaker Ave. Go about .2 mile; the Post Office and Grand Union will be on your right. The office is directly across the street. It is a tan Victorian house with maroon shutters. Come upstairs to Suite #3, the door to the left at the top of the stairs. From the Thruway coming from the south, take the Harriman exit and take Rt. 32 north about 14 miles to the traffic light. Turn right onto Quaker and go about .5 mile. Follow directions above. From the thruway coming from the north, take the Newburgh exit. Follow signs for 84 East. Take the last exit before the bridge and get on 9W heading south. Follow directions above. The address is 16 Quaker Ave., Cornwall. There is no phone at the office, but Sandy is at 534-7668 and her email is sandrabwells@gmail.com.
Directions to Reformed Church of New Paltz, 92 Huguenot St.
Take Main St in New Paltz, which is route 299, west to Route 32 North.
On the corner of 299 and 32 North is a Mobil gas station and a Japanese restaurant, Neko's.
Turn right onto Route 32 North. Go through one traffic light and make a left turn at Broadbent Street.
Broadbent intersects with Huguenot St, where you will see the church.
We enter the building marked "School of Christian Faith and Practice, Reformed Church", and we meet in the Fireside Room.
Directions to George Devine’s House: From Newburgh, take Rt. 32 North. After crossing Rt. 44/55 (traffic light), continue approx. 2 miles. Turn left onto DuBois Rd. It is the 6th house on the right (#214). Telephone #255-9313.
From NY Thruway (New Paltz Exit 18): Make left off exit onto Rt. 299West. Make left at first light onto South Putts Corner Rd. Take to end. Make left onto Rt. 32 South. Go approx. 2 miles. Make right onto DuBois Rd. and follow directions above.
Directions to Linda Anderson's house, 46 New Street in Kingston
NYS Thruway to exit 19 Kingston
when you exit the thruway you will be on a traffic circle.
Exit the circle at 587 and proceed through the light onto Broadway.
Take Broadway to West Chester Street (Burger King on the left and Citgo on the right).
Turn right onto West Chester and take it all the way until it ends, then you have to turn left onto Montrepose Av.
From Montrepose, make the next right onto New St. I'm near the end #46.

Directions to Vincent and Patterson's House: NYS Thruway North to Exit 19 - Kingston. Immediately after toll booth make a sharp right (on ramp) to Route 28 (Pine Hill) toward Woodstock. At the third traffic light (approx 5 miles - Stewarts on right) make a sharp left onto Basin Road. The road curves to the left under a railroad trestle. Go about 1 mile until you see a large pale yellow building with a red roof (Reservoir Inn). Directly opposite, make a right onto Dike Road. Cross the reservoir and when you get to the end, make a right at the stop sign onto Route 28A. Go 4.5 miles and you will see a church called The Living Word Chapel We are 6/10 of a mile past The Living Word Chapel, on the left - # 1689 Route 28A. (Don't be confused by numbers, the driveway before ours is # 1659). Enjoy the lovely view along the way and please be mindful of deer and other wildlife crossing the road. Phone 334-8667

From Newburgh-Beacon Bridge: Take 84 east [4.4 miles] to exit 13 Route 9 north to Poughkeepsie make a left at light after exiting and take route 9 north for 9.5 miles. Exit on right Rt 113/Spackenkill Rd [start to look for exit after Saturn dealership on left] . Merge onto Spackenkill Rd. At first light make left onto Croft Rd. After passing school it is the fourth driveway on the left #23 on green mail box, long driveway.
Note: Take care turning into driveway limited sight of cars coming over hill just past driveway. Turn around top of our driveway and park on right partially on grass facing the street to maximize parking. If need to park on street park below our driveway on our side. From Mid-Hudson Bridge (Poughkeepsie side) : Take route 9 South towards Wappingers Falls [3.46 miles] after light at Barnes and Nobles look for and Exit on right Rt 113/Spackenkill Rd. Then follow directions above.
Directions to Tona's House
At 171 Huguenot St. New Paltz.
From the Reform church, when you go out of the parking lot onto Huguenot Street, turn right.
Continue on Huguenot past two streets to your right: Mulberry and Henry Court. Don't take either of them. My house is on the left.
There is a metal pig nailed to a tree at the end of the driveway. It says: 171 and 173. Turn left and then left again when you come to a T at the end of the driveway.
My house is the one on the left. It is two floors and painted a kind of blue-gray.

Directions to Chris Raines' House
From the Newburgh bridge, take the first exit Rt. 9D south (right) and follow that all the way down to Cold Spring. At the light marking the intersection with Rt. 301 make a right, that will be Main Street. Chris is at 117 Main Street which is on the left hand side about four blocks down. His number is 845-265-4341. The drive time from the bridge is about fifteen minutes.
Directions to Marion Frazier's House (1040 E Mountain Rd S., Cold Spring, 897-5009): Best way: I-84 from Newburgh, take Exit 15 (Lime Kiln Rd). Turn left (south) off exit ramp. Proceed to end and turn right. Pass Keepsake Farm Market and continue to end and turn left. Turn right at first road (East Hook, which will turn into E. Mountain Rd. S). Go 2 miles (1 paved, 1 dirt) and look for Frazier house on the right (brown shingle, 2 story). OR: From US9, go east on E. Mtn Rd S. for five miles. Find Frazier name and number on mailbox. (E Mtn Rd S is 2 miles north of Rt. 301, just south of Perk’s Plaza)
Directions to John Sullivan’s house -From the North Take Route 9 South to Peekskill exit at Hudson Ave. (Train Station exit). Go through the intersection and make your left at the next intersection. You will be going under 9 and going up a switchback with grooved pavement. You will cross four streets. Simpson, Smith, Washington and Dyckman. It is the large house in the middle of the next block, on the right. 735 Requa St. Look for the Earth Flag.
From the South . Take Route 9 to Peekskill. Take the Hudson Ave./ South St exit. Go to the end of the ramp, make the left and then the next left under the bridge, go to the next intersection and make the left onto Requa St. Then follow Requa up the hill crossing Simpson, Smith, Washington and Dyckman. Look for the house on the right in the middle of the next block.
By train: Take the Hudson Line north to Peekskill. Walk to the south end of the station area. That is Requa St. The walk up the hill to the house is approximately 10 minutes and is a moderate up hill. There should be cabs at the station if you feel it might be too much. Directions to the Viet Nam and 9/11Memorials
From Beacon - Take the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge to the second exit off the bridge (Exit 10S). Bear to the right of exit ramp into traffic flow. Go past Burger King and Texaco on your left to traffic light and make right. Go under overpass thru light and immediately merge to your left. at next light Sunoco
on left Exxon on right) make left and go thru second light and look for Viet Nam memorial on left. Take a left and 9/11 memorial is right there on your right at the top of Park Pl.
From NYS Thruway - After toll keep straight to light. Make left at light. Continue east on 17K which changes into Broadway once you enter Newburgh. Stay on Broadway to the end (as far as you can go). Make left onto Colden St. down to stop sign and make a left onto Water St. Follow Water St. until you come to Grand Ave. (not Grand St.!) and make right. (note: Viet Nam Memorial will be right ahead of you when you make the right onto Grand Ave.) 9/11 Memorial will be on your right at the top of Park Pl.
From New Paltz - If you take the Thruway follow above directions. If you come on Rte. 32 follow Beacon directions when you pass Burger King and Texaco from North Plank Rd.
From Peekskill - Take Rte. 9 or 9D to Beacon- Newburgh Bridge and follow Beacon directions.
From Cornwall - Take 9W to last light before Newburgh-Beacon bridge ( Finklestien etc. Law offices will be on your immediate right and the Gulf Station will be on your left - if you pass the Sunoco you've gone too far) make right.
Go thru second light and look for Viet Nam Memorial on your left and make immediate left onto Grand Ave. Memorial will be on your right at the top of Park Pl.
Directions to Marilyn's House
N.Y Thruway to Exit 19 (Kingston)
Bear right off Thruway exit to State Rt. 28 West
Continue on Rt. 28 for 1 mile past State Rt. 375 (Route 28 narrows from 4 lanes to 2.)
Make right onto Maverick Road (County Rt. 43) at the “BLACK BEAR” Restaurant
Go 1 ¼ miles. Make left onto PARK DRIVE.
Go ½ mile. Make left onto MAVERICK TERRACE.
Second driveway on right at curve on hill.

Directions by Car from New York CityNew York State Thruway to Exit 16 onto Route 17 to Exit 119. Turn right on Route 302 to Pine Bush(about 10 miles). Turn left at traffic light in Pine Bush onto Route 52. Go 5.5 miles through Walker Valley to the Blue Cliff's sign. Make next left on Grau Road. Monastery is 4/10 of a mile.
By Bus
Short Line from the Port Authority bus terminal to Bloomingburg, NY. Our car will meet you. (not sure about this)
By Plane
Orange County Airport, Sullivan County Airport, and Ellenville Airport all provide facilities for private planes and are nearby. From major New York and New Jersey airports, connect by bus or rental car to Middletown, NY.
